The Vienna Wireless Winterfest, The National Capital Area Ham Radio Fair
On Sunday, February 24, 2008, the 32nd annual Winterfest will bring hams and
equipment vendors together for a full day of fun!
Several amateur radio clubs will be on hand to provide information about the ham radio
hobby, getting started, where to find instructional help for earning the amateur radio
license and much, much more!
And if you're ready to take the test, a credentialed VE Examination Team will be on hand
Saturday, February 23, 2008, so that you can earn that new license or upgrade!
Dealers in communications equipment, new and used, antennas, cabling, parts and supplies
will also be on hand to help you find the hard-to-find.
Winterfest 2008 will be held at the Northern Virginia Community College
Annandale Campus. Click here for

For Visitors
A donation of $6.00 will get you into the event. You'll be able to find
great deals on some of the best of both old and new gear.
QSL Checking will be available on-site until 12 noon.
For Vendors
A large indoor exhibit space can accomodate over 100 vendors. And it's
inexpensive, an 8-foot table costs only $25. It's an opportunity to
reach customers in a region with many licensed amateur radio operators,
and one that has the highest per-capita income in the country. Several
major cities are within a 90-minute driving distance. Don't miss this
chance to reach new customers! Apply for vendor space with our handy, on-line application today!
Tailgate
Winterfest 2008 will feature an outdoor tailgate area with 150 paved
tailgate spaces. One space costs $15 and includes admission for
one person. Tailgate spaces will be available on a first-come
first-served basis. Admission for everyone, vendors and the general
public, begins at 6 AM, Sunday, February 24, 2008. The college does not
permit overnight parking prior to the event.
Schedule
VE Examinations will begin on Saturday, February 23 at 9 AM sharp.
The indoor exhibit area (gymnasium) opens to the general public at 8
AM on Sunday, February 24. This means that nobody will be allowed
into the exhibit area before 8 AM without a vendor pass.
