There will not be a formal meeting at our normal location, instead all members are encouraged to gather at our Field Day site at Burke Lake Park (south of Fairfax City on Route 123) anytime after 4 pm or so. Lend a hand in the start of the set up phase. Usually this means trying to get a few ropes shot into the trees before dark. And yes, food will be served.

Congratulations to everyone who contributed to the safe launch and recovery of the latest balloon flight. The balloon reached a height of 117,683 feet and safely landed in Southern Maryland. The camera took some great photos, maybe some of the best yet. VWS-8 Photos
