Pete Norloff, KG4OJT Reports:
a) VWS has two new officers, Jim Parsons W4JTP, President; Deniis Voegler WA4QMS, Vice President.
b) Pete handed out the proposed budget for 2007. This is so the VWS membership will have 30-days notice before the budget is voted on.
c) VWS will contribute $200 to the ARRL Spectrum Defense Fund. We will also pass the hat and accept additional donations from the membership.
d) VWS will donate $110 to the Vienna Elementary School in appreciation for their permission to meet at the school. The Vienna PTA will sponsor a Fun Run and VWS will try to raise $200 for donations to the fund.
e) There is a planned ARISS contact in Centreville in which VWS members will participate - date to be determind.
f) John Trnasue AF4PD will be making new club directories agaiin this year.
g) Pete announced the dates for the Winter NAQP events will be Jan. 13 (CW at the Vienna Fire Station) and Jan. 20 (SSB at Camp Highroad)
Len Hook KG6ZR gave his Winterfest report on table sales.
Alan Bosch KO4ALA gave a report on the TJ Club and requested a volunteer to replacement to help them while he steps down. John Transue AF4PD spoke to Art Feller about this.
John Transue AF4PD gave his repeater report. A Technical Working Group has been formed with N4ZPT, AF4PD, KG4PRN, KI4NBZ, WA4SMI, and others. Charles Crizer has 7/8 inch heliax and labor for $2045. We can have the heliax for free.
Mike Steussy AE4R reported on the new band alocations for 80, 40, 15, and 10 meters.
Ray Johnson K5RJ auctioned off several items for the benefit of the VWS coffers: Heathkit SWL receiver, 2-meter antenna, aluminum tripod ground plane for HF antennas, ground rod system.

Dave Wiesen K2VX - worked a JH maritime mobile in the Marianas on CW. He reported that he likes to use contests for testing his gear.
Tom Azlin N4ZPT - showed National tuned circuits for AM, CW circa 1950s for 807 tube.
Gary Nelson KI4EKM - showed a miniature table saw, home brew. He also reported that 15-meters is open and has some good DX available.
Dennis Voegler WA4QMS - reported seeing a Virginia license plate with CN for Morrocco. He also showed a Kenwood SM-220 station monitor.
Mike Stuessy AE4R - showed an A/B switch for electronic keyers that he bought for $1.00 at a hamfest.
