The Vienna Wireless Society General Membership Meeting – May 28, 2010   Meeting Place: Oakton High School Auditorium   Ray, KJ4CNN formally opened the meeting at 7:30 pm   TOTAL ATTENDANCE: 30   GUESTS: Dave Carnes, KJ4BVH Martin Rothfield, KB3UJQ Nick Beauregard, NO CALL Abe Drier, KJ4SFB Anthony Nelson, KI4ZDR   ANNOUNCEMENTS:   Tom, N4ZPT: announced annual Marine Corps Marathon 8 volunteers are needed call Tom to volunteer   Bob, AJ4RS: showed off last year’s Marine Corps Marathon volunteer T-shirt   Pete, KG4OJT: reported that the Club bought the gas generators for Field Day sent a check to NVCC for Winterfest 2011 sent a check to the Annandale Swim and Dive Club for facility use during VA QSO Party competition   Mike, AE4R: gave a report on the Club’s 10-meter net operations will be held on Thursday @ 8:30 pm on or about 78.444 MHz   Dennis, WA4QMS: announced that he finished his college studies for his specialization certificate   FREEBIES:   Jim Nagle, KF4OD – free manuals   BREAK:   MEETING PRESENTATION:   Kevin, N4KL: Introduced Mel, KI4WKZ who updated the Membership about the high altitude balloon project that reached a record altitude.   Ray, KJ4CNN formally adjourned the meeting after the presentation.   Respectfully submitted by: Ray Anderson, KJ4CNN Secretary, VWS   -*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-
