The Vienna Wireless Society General Membership Meeting – Apr 23, 2010   Meeting Place: Oakton High School Auditorium   Jim, W4JTP formally opened the meeting at 7:35 pm   TOTAL ATTENDANCE: 39   GUEST: Regis Gottus, KF4PTY   ANNOUNCEMENTS:   Steven, N5SK: announced QRP To The Field to be held tomorrow, Saturday starting @ 11:30 at Glyndon Park in Vienna   Mel, KI4WKZ: announced that a Balloon meeting will be held on Sunday at his house will be live on the air between 9:00 and 10:00 am turned on at Byron’s W4SSY home balloon will be launched from Strasburg, VA   Ray, KJ4CNN: discussed Field Day – 2010 specifics asked for volunteers   Pete, K6BFA: picked up Members’ QSL cards for public display announced that Field Day – 2010 memorabilia orders have been placed   Pete, KG4OJT: reminded Members that memberships need to be renewed before membership roster is purged of outdated data   John, KA4YMA: announced that the Technology Summit on May 1 needs volunteers   Rick, N6CY: announced that there will be the Annual Armed Forces Day Cross Band Test on May 8 on HF frequencies will be publishes amateurs will listen on MARS frequencies and respond on HAM frequencies   FREEBIES:   Pete, KG4OJT – free electronic car starter remote   BREAK:   Refreshments – Pam, KB9SCM         50/50 Winner – Frank, W$NUA   MEETING PRESENTATION:   Kevin, N4KL: introduced Rick.
