Jim W4JTP, our President, started the meeting with general comments then introductions around the room. There were 43 in attendance.
REPORTS
Pete K6BFA, gave a report on the equipment of VWS Member, Mac KC4IGS. Items will be available to members to bid on until next Thursday at 8:00 PM. Also help is needed to transport the equipment to Winterfest.
Pete KG4OJT, our Treasurer, gave the members an update on this years finances. Also reported that we are set AT NVCC for this year and 2010. Pete also reported that T-MARC will be holding their meeting at Winterfest on Sunday.
Bernie N4JDF, reported on the VA QSO Party, which will held March 21 st and 22nd. More details to follow after Winterfest.
Tom K4TCM, gave us an update of the Fox Hunt scheduled for later this Spring. He now has two long range foxes for us to find. More details to follow.
Dennis WA4QMS, our Winterfest Chairman, reported on Winterfest preparations. Most of the meeting was given over to Dennis and other Winterfest chairs to discuss where we are on this years event. Only 10 days away.
OTHER BUSINESS
Byron W4SSY was given a round of applause for his Spud Gun article in the March QST. Members were encouraged to vote for the article at ARRL web site. Good luck Bryon!
Jim AG4MA, was taking orders for VWS jackets, which are hoped to be here before Winterfest.
