| The next meeting of the VWS will be held this coming Friday night, July 23rd. The meeting will be held in the Lecture Hall of the Oakton HS. The evenings program will be projects that club members had to use solder. It can be anything,as long as you smell solder, it's good to bring in! |

| Join the VWS for the ARRL Field Day Saturday and Sunday. We are at Burke Lake park in Fairfax. The event starts at 2 PM today and runs for 24 hours. Come on out and get on the air! |

| There will not be a formal meeting at our normal location, instead all members are encouraged to gather at our Field Day site at Burke Lake Park (south of Fairfax City on Route 123) anytime after 4 pm or so. Lend a hand in the start of the set up phase. Usually this means trying to get a few ropes shot into the trees before dark. And yes, food will be served. |

| The next meeting of the Vienna Wireless Society will be this Friday, June 11, at 7:30 pm, in the Lecture Hall of Oakton High School at 2900 Sutton Road. The presenter will our Field Day Chair,Ray KJ4CNN. This is the last formal meeting before Field Day (the next meeting is at Burke Lake). Come ready to get the latest news and be prepared to step in if needed. |

| Congratulations to everyone who contributed to the safe launch and recovery of the latest balloon flight. The balloon reached a height of 117,683 feet and safely landed in Southern Maryland. The camera took some great photos, maybe some of the best yet. VWS-8 Photos
