The next General Membership Meeting of the Vienna Wireless Society amateur radio club will be held on Friday, January 23, 2015 in the Oakton High School Lecture Hall, starting at 7:30 pm.

Meeting Announcements

Because of our success this past weekend of January 7-8, with graduating more members into the world of Technician Class operating, we are having a special, on demand, forum of how to buy and what to look forward with your first hand-held radio (or handi-talkie (HT)) session.  This presentation will be led by Jacob Bruner, KW4EV, and Pete Hadley, K6BFA at the TnT Forum in room 108

This meeting will be conducted differently:  There will be two presentations (actually practical exercises) conducted simultaneously.  Ron, WA6YOU, will assist members putting on coax connectors for cabling they need in their shacks or other operations. Ron will be in Room 108 (the classroom used for the club forums).

At the front of the lecture hall, Pete, K6BFA, will be assisting members building foam rubber storage containers to protect various types of test or operational equipment from physical shock damage.

To help both presenters, please contact either one of them with a synopsis of your project so they can have the necessary materials and tools for you to complete your project.

One goal for these presentation is to have the member leave the meeting with something physical and practical to incorporate into their ham radio activities.
