VWS Meeting News

The next General Membership Meeting of the Vienna Wireless Society amateur radio club will be held on Friday, May 24, 2013 in the Oakton High School LIBRARY starting at 7:30 pm.

Meeting Announcements:

Before the main meeting, however, starting at 7:00 pm, Leon Bruner, NT8B will make a presentation at the TnT Forum Meeting on "My Favorite Antenna Support - The Venerable Tree."

At the conclusion of the TnT Forum meeting, the Main Membership Meeting will begin with the Club's Business Meeting starting punctually at 7:30 pm. After the break, Kevin, N4KLwill introduce Lee, KD4RE who will discuss Radiation Hazards to amateur radio operators.

The next meeting of the Vienna Wireless Society amateur radio club will be held on Friday, May 10, 2013 in the Oakton High School LIBRARY.

Meeting Announcements:

Before the main meeting, Pete, K6BFA will host the CW Forum in Room 108 at Oakton High School, starting at 7:00 pm.

At the Main Membership Meeting, Kevin, N4KL will introduce Tom, W7SUA who will intoduce the fascinating hobby of Amateur Radio Astronomy to the membership, starting at 7:30 pm.

The next meeting of the Vienna Wireless Society amateur radio club will be held on Friday, April 26, 2013 in the Oakton High School Lecture Hall.

Meeting Announcements:

UPDATE ... UPDATE ... UPDATE: Before the main meeting, TnT Group Organizer Leon, NT8Bwill introduce Ron, WA6YOU in the Oakton High School Lecture Hall, starting at 7:00 pm. Ron's presentation will be "It's Gotta End Somewhere.....The PL-259" NOTE that this meeting of the TnT group will NOT meet in Room 108.

At the Main Membership Meeting, Kevin, N4KL will introduce Dennis, WA4QMS who will give his presentation on Good Operating Practices, also in the Oakton High School Lecture Hall, starting at 7:30 pm.

Special Announcement:

On Saturday, April 27th, the Club will operate its annual QRP To The Field at Glyndon Park in Vienna. Last minute event specifics will be given by organizer Pete, K6BFA at the Friday, April 26th general membership meeting.

At the Main Membership Meeting Ron Payne, WA6YOU will make a presentation on various Antenna topics that is sure to interest everyone in attendance.
