NAQP-SSB

January 19-20, 2007

Thanks to everyone who came out this weekend and contributed toward making our NAQP operation another wonderful success.

We were ready to get on the air at 1:00 PM, after a fabulous lunch.  As I recall, we were still working on the antennas last year at the start of the contest, so we owe great thanks to our antenna crew lead by Byron Black and his pneumatic spud gun.

Thanks also to the many club members who set up and operated the stations.
I haven't counted the number of operators in the logs yet, but I'm certain we'll come in first again for total number of operators.  Special thanks to Tom Azlin and Byron Black for supplying our two stations.

After I go through the logs and prepare our submission I'll post another note about total number of contacts, multipliers, operators, etc.  While I don't think we beat the CW crew from last week in total number of contacts, if we add in bonus points for our chocolate chip cookies, I'm sure we'll take the lead.

There were lots of photos this year, and a lot of meta-photos as well. There were also lots of laughs, lots of good things to eat, a roaring fire, and lots of fun on the air.

We should do this again some time.

Preliminary Results (1/21/2008)

Subject to some adjustment before I submit our log in the contest, here are the results:

We made 475 contacts on our two stations.  We had 19 operators in the log.

Here is our score summary:
